BC Moderate Water Coach & Advance Sea Kayak Leader
Calvin grew up in Connecticut, but has spent most of his time exploring waters around the country, and the world. He has paddled remote stretches of Lake Superior, Vancouver Island, and the Maine coast, as well as exploring the big tide races in north Wales. Calvin spent 15 years teaching for the Outward Bound schools, and has been a BC coach in the Pacific Northwest for the past five years. He now makes his home on Orcas Island, WA, where he loves finding new tidal features to play in. Calvin comes back to the Gales each year to play in the best dynamic water on the East Coast. We're looking forward to hearing about his latest adventure - kayaking from Alaska to Washington.
